Of all the guides reviewed this one provided the most content relating to options for people to supplement their income from home.  It offers MORE GAIN THAN PAIN and that’s why it was considered THE CLEAR STAND-OUT.

As an introductory guide its primary focus is to get you started on improving your overall financial position.  It does not directly provide more detailed techniques and tools to take you to the next level of action if you find you need to do so.  That is why its rating on the Comprehensive scale is lower than one of the other products reviewed.  But the program does address this limitation by offering access to more detailed resources.

This guide identifies realistic debt reduction alternatives that people can easily implement at their own instigation if they choose to, including the generation of passive income.

It addresses both the expenditure and income sides of an individual’s financial position fairly evenly, without getting too technical or detailed.  This ensures that the guide can be easily understood by anyone, without having to do extra study or research to fully grasp the strategies or concepts.

So, rather than bombard you with masses of information, this guide provides a handy introduction to strategies and concepts and allows you to adopt whichever elements YOU deem to be suitable that you can then take further if you wish.

VALUABLE EXTRAS

The package includes a helpful excerpt of the book “100 Ways to Save Money” and provides you with a reference link through which you can obtain the entire book and related materials.

It also includes a copy of the book “Your First Mortgage” which is very relevant to anyone who wishes to better understand home loans and reduce their monthly costs.

The third Bonus is a Stress-Relief Report that addresses the intangible aspects of the debt relief issue.

These bonuses provide valuable information and add significant value to the package.

This is a sophisticated and detailed program that focuses more specifically on the debt side of your financial position than the income side.  While it focuses more on the PAIN end of the PAIN-to-GAIN ratio, this program doesn’t propose radical lifestyle changes.  It offers practical solutions and background information to equip you with the knowledge and tools to preserve your financial position and your credit rating.

The Ultimate Debt Guide is a very comprehensive program, with lots of PRACTICAL instructions and tools for REMEDIAL ACTIONS.

It is quite formally structured and detailed, so it’s more than an introductory guide

While it is detailed, it isn’t overly complicated.  The author has structured it very much as a program or course and provides ongoing support and instruction, which is a great benefit.

In addition to the level of content and range of specific issues the program addresses, the Ultimate Debt Guide’s greatest advantage is the degree of instruction and support provided as part of the step-by-step program.

VALUABLE EXTRAS

This product includes a useful set of extras that can be immediately applied to help you get out of trouble if your credit rating is in danger.

The other extras are a bit dry and technical, and are aimed at fixing rather than preventing debt problems.  They assume that you have a little more experience and urgency than the other products.

BEST SUITED IF YOU NEED…

REMEDIAL SOLUTIONS and LESS PREVENTATIVE strategies.

This program is a very straightforward 4-step program that adopts a ‘military’ concept to lay out a definite plan to reduce your debt in the fastest possible time.

This program certainly focuses more on the PAIN end of the PAIN-to-GAIN ratio and proposes some considered lifestyle changes, but it remains realistic in its expectations. It’s not simply a list of “penny-pinching” items.  It includes some real world solutions that you can implement to improve your financial position.

This guide offers actionable tips that can provide immediate results.

It is written in simple language that anyone can understand and is an introductory plan which presents a simple, structured process.

In fact its effective structure led to the author applying for a patent for this program, as well attracting acclaim within USA Today and Family Circle.

VALUABLE EXTRAS

The program includes an Excel spreadsheet which will help more computer-savvy users to apply the techniques described and a valuable bonus guide called “Mortgage Manager”.

There is also access to basic one-on-one email support.  You need to be realistic in your expectations about this service, but it’s good to know that it’s there if needed.

Lifetime updates to the program are also included, which should take account of the changing state of the economy.

Another bonus is the “Debt Knife” software.  However, this is not yet available, so could not be included in this review.

The author of this program has taken a unique perspective of the issue of Financial Management.

By considering the impact of financial stress on one's faith Mr Dean provides a unique context for those seeking to remedy their financial position on a Christian foundation.

"Christian Guide to Financial Freedom" addresses a broad range of issues and considers several aspects of income and expenditure to offer several alternatives for practising Christians to apply with confidence that they are satisfying their financial and moral obligations.

Focussing on those opportunities that the author has applied in his own circumstances gives the program a degree of credibility as a chronicle of the authors own experience.

SOME VALUABLE EXTRAS

The program is less detailed than some of the more comprehensive alternatives, but the detail is sufficient to give a novice a good starting point.  Most of the bonus components are publications that the program author had previously developed and distributed in specialist areas.  They follow a relatively direct view of alternative income sources in home-based and internet business opportunities.  Such opportunities may be suited to a finite sub-set of readers, but may seem unattainable by some people.

THIS PRODUCT IS MOST SUITED TO...

Practising Christians who seek a general introduction to a range of ethical and creative remedial strategies.

As a series of simple guides this program provides a lot of information, but it's quite superficial in it's detail and offers only vague references to the solutions.  Our panel of reviewers have indicated that this product comes close to meeting many of our criteria except it falls short in the requirement for clear step-by-step instructions, as distinct from a range of concepts.

Consequently the series DOES NOT MEET OUR QUALIFYING CRITERIA.

Despite the range of information contained within the series of e-books and the published books it is difficult to see how an individual seeking to apply remedial actions would apply the information with a sufficient degree of precision to achieve meaningful results.

The series succeeds in making the dry subject of debt management less mundane, but it's unlikely to achieve the primary goal of Getting You Out of Debt.

THE SERIES ITSELF CONSTITUTES SEVERAL  EXTRAS

The program is very broad, but somewhat superficial in its content.

WE RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT ONLY TO PEOPLE...

The content of the book can also be obtained via a range of alternative sources, but some readers could find it useful to explain some basic principles that might be confusing to them without such a resource.  Even so, the review panel felt that several other products reviewed  provide a better reference guide.

"enjoy Debt Freedom" is primarily a suit of software tools that assist with basic budgeting and financial management.  Hence it deals mostly with the pain end of the pan-to-gain ratio.

It's relatively simple to use, but not quite so simple to apply the recommendations to your everyday life to apply long-term solutions.

The book merely reiterates a lot of fundamental suggestions that are readily available in any one of a number of FREE articles and guides.  While such guides are useful to inform people that they have some options, the unfortunate fact is that such general guides don't provide enough specific instruction to provide any meaningful benefits.

A FEW VALUABLE EXTRAS

The program is specific in its intent, but it is supplemented by a few basic but helpful books about:

  1. Credit Rating Repair to address credit scoring

  2. Financial IQ (Literacy) to expand your knowledge of basic financial concepts

  3. Retirement Planning for truly long-term thinking, but little specific instruction.

Due to its lack of structure and minimal instructional content this product DOES NOT MEET OUR QUALIFYING CRITERIA.

This simplistic book is far too basic to be of any true value. While it is simple and easy to understand it's fundamental inadequacy is that it is far too simple.

The book merely reiterates a lot of fundamental suggestions that are readily available in any one of a number of FREE articles and guides.  While such guides are useful to inform people that they have some options, the unfortunate fact is that such general guides don't provide enough specific instruction to provide any meaningful benefits.

LACK OF VALUABLE EXTRAS

The program is very scant in its detail and the limited extras that the vendors have providers are of limited value.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYBODY…

It's just too basic to provide sufficient value.  The content of the book can be easily obtained via a range of alternative sources simply by searching the internet for the general subject

"Debt Reduction Advice" .

GUIDE TO OUR RATING CATEGORIES

Simplicity

This value reflects the extent to which an ordinary person can understand the language and concepts within the guide/program.  If the program requires no prior experience in finance and no understanding of technical or financial terms, then it receives a high Simplicity rating.  The rating is downgraded by the extent to which the guide or program uses technical terms, or assumes prior knowledge or experience.

Easy-to-Implement

This rating category shows the degree to which an ordinary citizen would be capable of applying the recommended remedial actions without the assistance of an industry specialist.

Some guides that we reviewed focussed very entirely on cost cutting and some proposed radical changes in one’s lifestyle.  Our experts saw such radical sacrifices as unrealistic, as many people are unlikely to change their lifestyle to that extent unless they have tried the primary strategies first.   So the guides that provided only totally desperate solutions were ranked quite low on the “Ease-of-Implementation” scale, as they represented far more “PAIN THAN GAIN”.

Comprehensive

This rating category shows the degree to which the guide addresses different TYPE of debt (ie. Credit cards, mortgages and other secured credit, personal and unsecured finance) and the range of solutions that the guide provides (ie. The number of supplementary income opportunities it provides, the range and scope of tools, information and references to further information.

Pain-to-Gain Ratio

This ratio roughly conveys the degree of sacrifices or lifestyle changes that the guide/ program proposes that you make in order to achieve your goals.

Support & Extras

This value reflects the extent of any support services, such as one-on-one counselling or e-mail tuition or support, plus the range of additional materials or tools provided to either assist you to implement the program, or to further advance your understanding of the concept once you conclude the program.

For example, access to support services to help you apply the information, now and in the future would raise a product’s rating in this category.
